Low pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system

Product Description

The Ansell PREFERRED tank mounted low pressure carbon dioxide fire suppression system is ideal for the use of large quantities of agent in confined spaces in unoccupied areas. Individual tanks can hold 680 to 54,430 kg (0.75 to 60 US tons) of CO2 in a standby mode. The system distributes the agent as efficiently as required. Tank-type low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems can be economically refilled with multiple dispensing capability between refills.

Liquid carbon dioxide is stored in a pressure vessel with a refrigeration system and built to ASME standards. The internal pressure is maintained at approximately 20.7 bar (300 psi). The temperature inside the vessel is maintained at approximately -17 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit).

Valve controls are electropneumatic or manual. Each main and selector valve assembly consists of a ball or butterfly valve, a spring-return pneumatic valve controller, and an electrically controlled three-way solenoid valve. Automatic detection and control is provided by a certified release control panel.
