RV-1 straight and angle pressure relief and holding valve for fire protection
Product Description
The Model RV-1 Pressure Relief Holding Valve is specially designed for fire protection systems. Through the automatic control of the pilot valve on the pressure relief valve, the pressure of the fire protection system can be maintained at the set value when the system flow rate changes. When the system pressure exceeds the set value, the pressure relief valve automatically opens and returns the excess flow to the fire protection tank, keeping the system pressure constant. When the fire protection system stops working, the pressure relief valve opens all the way and returns all the flow from the pump to the water tank, and then the system check valve closes to isolate the fire pump and the system from the water pressure shock. When the pump is turned off, the pressure relief valve closes automatically and slowly.
The RV-1 type valve is a hydraulic valve controlled by a pilot valve, which provides control accuracy. Pressure relief valves are normally "T" connected to the fire protection piping and installed between the fire pump and the system check valve.
