Product Description
The PRV-1 Pressure Reducing Valve is a conductive diaphragm type valve with a ductile iron body, nylon corrosion resistant coating on the inside/outside, and is available in both spherical and angular configurations. The PRV-1 pressure reducing valve can be installed in piping when high inlet water pressure needs to be reduced to a lower transfer pressure under static or dynamic conditions. The PRV-1 pressure reducing valve automatically maintains outlet pressure near the set value during fluctuations in inlet pressure or flow rate, providing precise pressure control.
To facilitate field pressure rating, the factory sets the outlet pressure at 0.86 MPa before shipment.
Typical uses are as follows:
Installation on wet systems, dry systems, rain sprinkler systems, pre-action systems and/or fire hydrant supply mains.
Installation on sprinkler and/or fire hydrant system floor supply lines.
