ELO-231B K=161 Standard Response, Standard Coverage Upright/Pendant Sprinkler
Product Description
The ELO-231B is an oversized sprinkler head that has been field-tested by FM in the U.S. on full-scale fires in warehouses. It is used to control high risk fires in warehouse stacks. ( Detailed design information is available upon request )
The low water supply pressure required for sprinkler heads gives the product the following advantages when used in new system designs or as a direct replacement for ordinary sprinkler heads in retrofitting old systems:
* Reduced size of water distribution pipes
* Increase the protected area of the sprinkler head
* No need for booster pumps
* Increased system spray intensity
Recognized by NFPA, the ELO-231B became the first oversized standard sprinkler head authorized for use in NFPA 13 locations. It has an operating pressure of 7 psi (0.5 bar). ACTION: The liquid in the glass bubble expands by heat. When the nominal operating temperature is reached, the expanding liquid bursts the glass bubble and the sprinkler head sprinkles.
