Indoor wiring requirements for fire alarm systems
The transmission line of the fire alarm system should be protected by metal pipes, flexible (metal) electrical conduits, B1 grade or above steel plastic pipes, or enclosed wire ducts.
The power supply line and fire linkage control line of the fire alarm system should use fire-resistant copper core wires and cables. The transmission lines of the alarm bus, fire emergency broadcast, and fire dedicated telephone should use flame-retardant or flame-retardant fire-resistant wires and cables. When laying concealed circuits, metal pipes, flexible (metal) electrical conduits, or rigid plastic pipes of B1 or above should be used for protection, and they should be laid in a non combustible structural layer, and the thickness of the protective layer should not be less than 30mm; When laying the circuit, metal pipes, flexible (metal) electrical conduits, or metal enclosed wire ducts should be used for protection. Mineral insulated non combustible cables can be directly laid in the open.
The cable shaft for fire alarm system should be set separately from the low-voltage distribution line cable shaft for power and lighting. When it is necessary to use them together due to limitations, cables for fire alarm systems and low-voltage distribution cables for power and lighting should be arranged on both sides of the vertical shaft.
Cables of different voltage levels should not be threaded into the same protective tube. When using the same cable tray, there should be partitions inside the tray to separate them.
When using horizontal laying through pipes, except for the alarm bus, lines from different fire compartments should not pass through the same pipe.
The wiring leading from junction boxes, wire ducts, etc. to detector base boxes, control equipment boxes, and speaker boxes should be protected with metal protective tubes.
The transmission line of fire detectors should choose insulated wires or cables of different colors. The positive "ten" wire should be red, and the negative "one" wire should be blue or black. The colors of wires with the same purpose in the same project should be consistent, and the terminal blocks should be labeled.
The transmission line conduit of the fire alarm system is the same as the conduit of the low-voltage distribution system, and should use metal pipes, rigid plastic pipes of B1 level or above, or enclosed wire ducts. The laying method is concealed or exposed.
Rigid plastic pipes above B1 level are required to comply with the combustion test requirements specified in the national standard GB/T 5169.14-2007 "Fire hazard testing for electrical and electronic products - Part 14: Test flames -10kW nominal premixed flame equipment, confirmation test methods and guidelines".
Due to the fact that the power supply lines and fire linkage control lines of the fire alarm system need to continue working during a fire and should have corresponding fire resistance performance, it is stipulated here that such lines should use fire-resistant copper core insulated wires or cables. For other transmission lines, flame-retardant or flame-retardant fire-resistant wires and cables are required to avoid prolonged combustion in a fire. This article is a basic technical requirement to ensure the stability and reliability of fire alarm system operation, as well as the reliability of linkage control for other building fire protection facilities. Therefore, this article is determined as a mandatory provision.
When laying concealed lines, it is advisable to lay them in non combustible structural layers as much as possible. The thickness of the protective layer should not be less than 30mm, as the pipeline can play a protective role in concrete and prevent fire control, communication and alarm, and transmission line interruption in the event of a fire. Due to the relative importance of the fire alarm system wiring, the selection requirements for conduit in this section are relatively high. Only when concealed, rigid plastic pipes of Class B1 or above are allowed to be used; When laying the circuit, only metal pipes or metal wire ducts can be used.
To prevent interference from strong electrical systems on fire automatic alarm equipment belonging to weak electrical systems, the cables of fire alarm systems and power cables should not be laid in the same vertical shaft.
If cables of different voltage levels are used together in cable trays, they should be separated by partitions.
