Manufacturer Introduction and Installation Requirements for Siemens FS720 Fire Detectors
In fire engineering construction, do you know the installation requirements for fire detectors? Below, the Siemens FS720 series manufacturer will specifically explain to you.
I. Point-type Smoke and Heat Fire Detectors
1. The horizontal distance from the detector to the wall or beam edge should not be less than 0.5m.
2. There should be no obstructions within a horizontal distance of 0.5m around the detector.
3. The horizontal distance from the detector to the nearest edge of the air conditioning supply air outlet should not be less than 1.5m; to the multi-hole supply air ceiling hole, it should not be less than 0.5m.
4. When installing detectors on the ceiling of internal walkways with a width of less than 3m, they should be installed in the middle. The installation spacing of point-type temperature fire detectors should not exceed 10m; the installation spacing of point-type smoke fire detectors should not exceed 15m. The distance from the detector to the end wall should not be greater than half of the installation spacing.
5. Detectors should be installed horizontally. If inclined installation is necessary, the inclination angle should not exceed 45°.
II. Linear Infrared Beam Smoke Fire Detection
1. When the height of the detection area is not greater than 20m, the vertical distance from the beam axis to the ceiling should be 0.3~1.0m; when the height of the detection area is greater than 20m, the vertical distance from the beam axis to the ground (floor) of the detection area should not exceed 20m.
2. The length of the detection area between the transmitter and receiver should not exceed 100m.
3. The horizontal distance between the beam axes of adjacent pairs of detectors should not exceed 14m. The horizontal distance from the detector beam axis to the side wall should not exceed 7m and should not be less than 0.5m.
4. There should be no obstructions or interference sources on the optical path between the transmitter and receiver.
5. The transmitter and receiver should be firmly installed and should not produce displacement.
III. Cable-type Linear Temperature Fire Detectors
1. When installed on cable trays, transformers, and other equipment, contact-type arrangement is preferred.
2. When laid on various belt conveyors, they should be laid near the overheating points of the devices.
IV. Linear Temperature Fire Detectors
When installed under the ceiling, the distance to the ceiling should be 0.1m, and the horizontal distance between adjacent detectors should not exceed 5m; the distance from the detector to the wall should be 1~1.5m.
V. Combustible Gas Fire Detectors
1. The installation position should be determined based on the density of the detected gas. If the density is less than that of air, the detector should be located above possible leakage points or above the highest possible accumulation point of the detected gas; if the density is greater than or equal to that of air, the detector should be located below possible leakage points.
2. Adequate space should be left around the detector for replacement and calibration.
3. In places with explosion-proof requirements, construction should be carried out according to explosion-proof requirements.
4. When installing linear combustible gas detectors, the windows of the transmitter and receiver should avoid direct sunlight, and there should be no obstructions between the transmitter and receiver. The distance between two groups of detectors should not exceed 14m.
VI. Aspirating Smoke Fire Detectors
The installation during pipeline sampling should meet the following requirements:
1. The sampling pipe should be securely fixed.
2. The length and sampling holes of the sampling pipe (including branch pipes) should meet the requirements of the product manual.
3. Non-high-sensitivity aspirating smoke fire detectors should not be installed in places where the ceiling height exceeds 16m.
4. High-sensitivity aspirating smoke fire detectors can be installed in places where the ceiling height exceeds 16m when set to high sensitivity, and at least two sampling holes should be below 16m.
5. When installed in large spaces, the protection area of each sampling hole should meet the protection area requirements of point-type smoke fire detectors.
VII. Point Flame Detectors and Image-type Fire Detectors
1. The installation position should ensure that its field of view covers the detection area.
2. There should be no obstructions between the detector and the protected target.
3. When installed outdoors, dustproof and rainproof measures should be taken.
VIII. General Requirements for Detectors
1. The base of the detector should be installed firmly, and the connection with the lead wire must be reliably crimped or welded. When welding is used, corrosive soldering flux should not be used.
2. The connecting wires of the detector base should leave a surplus of not less than 150mm, and there should be obvious markings at the end.
3. The wiring holes of the detector base should be sealed, and protective measures should be taken for the installed detector base.
4. The alarm confirmation light of the detector should face the main entrance direction for easy observation by personnel.
5. Detectors can only be installed when ready for commissioning, and before commissioning, they should be properly stored and dustproof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-proof measures should be taken.
