There are many types of smoke and fire detectors, and the Siemens fire alarm system manufacturer will provide you with detailed installation requirements for each type of smoke and fire detector.

1、 Installation requirements for point type smoke and fire detectors

1. The horizontal distance between the detector and the wall or beam edge should not be less than 0.5m; There should be no obstructions within a horizontal distance of 0.5m around the detector; The horizontal distance between the detector and the nearest side of the air conditioning supply outlet should not be less than 1.5m; The horizontal distance to the opening of the porous air supply ceiling should not be less than 0.5m.

2. When installing detectors on the ceiling of inner walkways with a width of less than 3 meters, they should be installed in a livable area. The installation distance of point type temperature fire detectors should not exceed 10m; The installation distance of point type smoke and fire detectors should not exceed 15m. The distance between the detector and the end wall should not exceed half of the installation spacing.

3. Detectors should be installed horizontally, and when inclined installation is necessary, the inclination angle should not exceed 450.

2、 Installation requirements for linear beam smoke and fire detectors

1. Determine the installation position of the detector according to the requirements of the design documents, and the detector should be installed firmly without displacement. In steel structure buildings, transmitters and receivers (detectors and reflector plates for reflective detectors) can be installed on steel frames, but displacement effects should be considered.

2. The optical path between the transmitter and receiver (detector and reflector of the reflective detector) should be unobstructed, and the receiver (detector of the reflective detector) should be kept away from direct sunlight and artificial light sources.

3、 Installation requirements for suction smoke fire detectors using pipeline sampling style

(1) Determine the installation position, laying method, and sampling hole setting of the detector pipeline according to the requirements of the design documents and product user manual.

(2) The sampling pipe should be firmly fixed. In buildings with lintels and space supports, the sampling pipe should be fixed on the lintels and space supports.

4、 Installation requirements for detector base

1. The base of the detector should be installed firmly, and the connection with the wires must be reliably crimped or welded. When welding is used, corrosive flux should not be used.

2. The connecting wires of the detector base should have a margin of no less than 150mm, and there should be a clear permanent mark at its end. The threading holes of the detector base should be sealed, and protective measures should be taken for the installed detector base.

5、 Other requirements

The detector alarm confirmation light should be oriented towards the main entrance direction for easy observation by personnel. The detector can only be installed when it is about to be debugged. It should be properly stored and dust-proof, moisture-proof, and corrosion-resistant measures should be taken before debugging.
