Fire alarm system manufacturers introduce common firefighting methods for fires
The hazards of fires are particularly high. If we encounter a fire, how should we extinguish it? Below, the fire alarm system manufacturer will tell you several common fire extinguishing methods
1. Furniture, bedding, etc. catch fire: generally use water to extinguish the fire. Sprinkle water on flames using objects such as washbasins that can hold water around you, or connect a water pipe to a faucet to spray water to extinguish the fire; At the same time, wet and cool the combustible materials near the combustion point. But oil and electrical appliances cannot be extinguished with water.
2. Electrical fire: If a household appliance or circuit catches fire, the power should be cut off first, and then a dry powder or gas fire extinguisher should be used to extinguish the fire. Water should not be directly splashed to prevent electric shock or electrical explosion from injuring people.
3. TV set on fire: If a TV set catches fire together, it should never be watered. After cutting off the power, it can be covered with a cotton quilt to extinguish it. When extinguishing a fire, only approach the TV from the side to prevent the TV tube from exploding and injuring people. If using a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, it should not be directed directly at the TV screen to prevent it from suddenly catching cold and exploding after being heated.
4. Oil pot catches fire: When the oil pot catches fire, the stove gas valve should be quickly closed, and the pot cover should be directly covered or covered with a damp cloth. Alternatively, cut vegetables can be placed in the pot to cool and extinguish the fire. The pot should be steadily lifted away from the fire and cooled before opening the pot cover. Do not pour water into the oil pot to extinguish the fire.
5. Gas tank catching fire: Cover the fire with damp bedding, clothing, etc. and quickly close the valve.
6. If there is a fire on your body, do not run around. You can roll on the spot or use heavy clothing to extinguish the flames. When escaping through thick smoke, cover your mouth and nose with a damp towel, handkerchief, etc., try to keep your body close to the ground, bend or crawl forward.
