Siemens FS720 introduces common faults in temperature sensing cables
As a common linear temperature sensing fire detector in automatic fire alarm systems, temperature sensing cables inevitably encounter problems during use. So why do these problems occur and how do we solve them Below, Siemens FS720 manufacturer will give you a specific explanation
Common fault handling
When the detector malfunctions, the display status of the signal processing unit LED indicator light can be used to check the corresponding parts and take corresponding measures.
First, confirm if it is a problem with the temperature sensing cable itself, and if so, it may be a problem with the input module of the temperature sensing cable.
When there is a joint in the middle of the detector, a temperature sensing cable intermediate junction box must be used, and wiring must be installed according to requirements to ensure the stable operation of the detector. This can avoid or reduce the occurrence of open circuits and short circuits in temperature sensing cables.
3. For detectors that occasionally misreport fire alarms or faults, records should be kept and the causes should be identified from the following aspects to eliminate faults:
Check if the signal processing unit, temperature sensing cable intermediate junction box, and terminal unit are well sealed.
Check if the temperature sensing cable sheath is damaged.
Check whether the terminal connections of the signal processing unit, temperature sensing cable intermediate junction box, and terminal unit are firm, reliable, and well connected. A multimeter can be used to measure the continuity of the temperature sensing cable.
