In engineering practice, which aspects should be considered for the selection and use of fire alarm system controllers
(1) Determine the basic (functional) specifications of the alarm controller based on the form of the designed automatic monitoring fire protection system. At present, the popular automatic monitoring systems in China are generally divided into three types: fully automatic alarm and fire extinguishing systems, semi-automatic alarm and fire extinguishing systems, and manual alarm systems.
(2) When selecting and using a fire alarm system controller, efforts should be made to match the selected alarm controller with the fire detector, that is, the output signal of the fire detector and the input signal required by the alarm controller should belong to the same type (both low level, high level, or contact signal).
(3) The capacity of the selected fire alarm system controller shall not be less than the on-site usage capacity. (4) The number of output signals (linkage and interlocking command signals) of the alarm controller should be as equal as possible to the number of related linkage and interlocking devices, in order to ensure reliable control.
(5) It is necessary to determine the installation method of the alarm controller based on the actual situation on site, in order to determine whether to choose wall mounted, desktop, or cabinet alarm controllers.
