Summary of Common Issues in Fire Alarm Installation
1. The system wiring is not reasonable, such as inconsistent wire colors, unstable online connections, no records of calibration, non-standard terminal blocks, wiring errors, and inadequate protection of concealed engineering pipes; Thread the fire telephone line and the alarm linkage line into the same conduit, and lay the weak and strong electrical lines in the same bridge or trunking.
2. Some engineering projects have insulation resistance less than 20M Ω, and some have only 0.5M Ω, which affects the reliability of system operation. The work grounding and protective grounding are not well done, and there is no record of grounding resistance inspection. The power connection of the alarm controller is a plug connection. The wires inside the alarm control cabinet are not numbered or tied.
3. The installation of the fire detector is not firm enough, and it is too close to the air vent and beam. The detector confirms that the direction of the light is incorrect. The installation height of the manual alarm button does not meet the regulatory requirements. The installation position of the repeater panel (floor display) is too high.
Fire hydrant system:
1. The float valve of the fire water tank is not installed.
2. The valve on the suction pipe of the fire water pump adopts a butterfly valve, and the suction pipe adopts a concentric reducer. There is no pressure gauge, drain valve, or pressure relief valve on the outlet pipe.
3. The one-way valve on the outlet pipe of the fire water tank is installed on the riser, and there is no water level indicator in the fire water tank
4. The water pump adapter is far from the water intake of the outdoor fire hydrant or fire pool and is not located next to the passage. It is installed under a glass curtain wall, with a height of not 0 and the system it belongs to is not indicated. The direction of the check valve is incorrect, and the maintenance valve is not in a normally open state.
5. Welding is used for pipes with a diameter of DN ≤ 100, and there are few anti shake brackets for the pipes. Outdoor pipes are not insulated, and no sleeves are added when passing through walls or floors. The pressure testing, flushing, and tightness testing of the pipes are not strictly carried out in accordance with the specifications.
Automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing system:
1. The height of the alarm valve from the ground is not 1.2m. Install indoor fire hydrants on the pipeline after the alarm valve.
2. The pressure switch has poor performance.
3. The pipeline is not equipped with expansion joints.
4. The hydraulic alarm bell is not installed in the public passage, and there are people inside or duty rooms.
5. The pressure test, flushing, and tightness test of the pipeline were not strictly carried out in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
6. There is no maintenance port at the end discharge point, and the end testing device is equivalent to a drainage pipe. The diameter of the end testing device is less than 25mm, and no pressure gauge is installed.
7. The distance between the nozzle and the ceiling is greater than 30cm, and there is no heat collection cover installed on the nozzle installed vertically in the high-rise basement.
Foam extinguishing system:
1. The arrangement of foam nozzles is unreasonable, so some parts of the equipment cannot be protected by foam nozzles.
2. There are no metal hoses installed at the vertical and horizontal pipes.
3. The color of the pipeline is incorrect. The mixed liquid pipeline should have red or red circular markings, and the water pump and water supply pipeline should be painted green.
Gas fire extinguishing system:
1. There is air leakage in the collection pipe, and the anti shake bracket is missing. The one-way valve on the infusion pipe is installed in the opposite direction.
2. No protective casing is installed at the load-bearing wall,
3. The fire extinguishing execution panel of the independent system is installed in an unmanned bottle storage room, and the sound and light alarm, gas release light, and emergency start button are not installed at the entrance of the protective zone.
4. The pressure test, flushing, and tightness test of the pipeline were not strictly carried out in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
Fire separation facilities:
1. There are a large number of gaps above the fireproof roller shutter, and there are no measures to prevent the spread of fire. The roller and motor do not have fire insulation protection measures.
2. The fireproof door frame is not equipped with a sealing groove, and there is no sealing strip made of non combustible materials.
3. The opening direction of the fire door and fire lock is incorrect, and they have not opened in the direction of the evacuation exit.
4. The installation of small hardware on the fire door is incomplete, and fire-resistant glass inlay is not used. The fire resistance rating is different from that of steel fire doors.
5. The pipeline well and cable well are not separated by fire or are not tightly separated.
6. The fire resistance rating of the fireproof partition material is less than 0.5h.
7. The embedding depth of the fireproof rolling shutter door curtain panel in the guide rail is not sufficient.
8. The distance between the embedded steel parts of the guide rail of the fireproof rolling shutter door is greater than 60mm.
9. The gap between the seat plate of the fireproof roller shutter and the ground is greater than 20mm.
Smoke prevention and exhaust system:
1. The connection between the metal vertical shaft and the air supply valve (smoke exhaust valve) is not secure or sealed, resulting in significant leakage.
2. The brick vertical shaft has loopholes and the inner surface has not been smoothed with mortar.
3. The positive pressure air supply shaft and smoke exhaust shaft, as well as the air supply shaft and elevator shaft, are separated by brick walls without sealing. The bottom of the vertical shaft is not sealed.
4. A smoke exhaust valve with a temperature of 280 ℃ was installed at the location where the fire damper should be used at 70 ℃, and a fire exhaust valve with a temperature of 70 ℃ was installed at the location where the fire damper should be used.
5. There are debris inside the vertical shaft that clogs it, preventing the system from working properly.
6. The connection between the air supply fan and the vertical shaft is not equipped with a guide plate.
7. The smoke exhaust fire damper is not installed at the inlet of the smoke exhaust fan.
8. Fire dampers and smoke exhaust fire dampers are not equipped with independent brackets
9. During installation, smoke exhaust fans were installed at the location where the smoke exhaust fan was installed, and smoke exhaust fans were installed at the location where the smoke exhaust fan was installed.
10. The addition of partition walls in the basement has disrupted the original smoke exhaust system, and some smoke outlets have been blocked by the walls or enclosed in the room.
